Hey, I’m Cynthia.

My objective is to promote the development and empowerment of individuals with disabilities through the use of art as both an experiential process and a means of self-expression.

My Approach

Art as a tool

Through engaging with art, individuals are encouraged to explore and communicate their unique perspectives and experiences, facilitating personal growth and self-discovery. This approach not only enhances their creative skills but also fosters a deeper understanding of their own identities and capabilities.

“Cynthia has been my son’s special education Teaching Assistant for the last four years. Her commitment to my son, in addition to his classroom peers, is more powerful than anything I can adequately express with words. Her ability to see my son and understand his needs and potential have been the key to him flourishing in his educational environment. I have often referred to her as M’s whisperer because her innate understanding of him is so extraordinary.”

“Cynthia has been part of our family circle for six years. She started as my son's teaching aide in elementary school and continued for us for years as both a summer nanny and now as a babysitter. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cynthia. She has such a special way with both our autistic son and our neurotypical daughter and they both absolutely adore her. We constantly hear "can Ms. Beltran babysit us??" every time we need someone to watch our kids. Importantly, she willingly shares with us her expertise and support, frequently without ever being asked. She wants what's best for my son, so despite no longer being part of his educational team, she works to help him unconditionally and harness his artistic skills. Cynthia will always be a valued member of our care team.”
